Finally Friday - Chicks with an Attitude with Christine Pennington

Finally Friday for Chicks with an Attitude. I do believe that my
chick card has an "attitude"!    Rather sassy, I would say!
This is the stamp set, T3353 Tail Feathers.

The image is stamped on Premium White cardstock and layered on
Emma SWIC collection and cardstock using
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 9.  I colored with Copic markers.

To finish it off I added the sassy saying and some red buttons with Yellow Scrapper's Floss.

Golden Egg Cardmakers' Challenge with Kerry Urbatch

An Easter challenge - how fun is that!
For the Golden Egg Cardmakers' Challenge we had to include the following
items on our cards: glitter, 3 layers, 3 colors, ribbon/scrappers floss and flowers.

I used Coluzzle oval cutters to make an egg card from the golden Miss Moxie cardstock
Then I layered over the base card some of the printed Miss Moxie SWIC papers
The lamb and egg image from R2041 Hoppity Skippity is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Premium White cardstock and colored with Copic markers.

For the required embellishments I added a bow, a flower from Bitty Blossoms, and Stickles Glitter glue in purple and orange and green.

Tune in Tuesday - Kraft Cards with Heather Scott

Tune in Tuesday - Kraft Cards

A piece of TAC's free download paper Robin seemed perfect for my Kraft card with
T2700 Good Timber. I stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on
Premium White cardstock and layered it on the Kraft base card.
I added eyelets from the Hemingway hardware collection.

It doesn't show much but I colored lightly with
Copics YG93 and E55 on the trees and grass.

DDH4 Challenge - Paper Piecing - Week 1

The Digi Design Challenge for this week is Paper Piecing.  This is a little more tricky with digital images than with rubber stamps because the printed or colored paper to be used for paper piecing has to be run through the printer so that the image can be printed on it.  Then it can be cut out and pieced on to the main printed image.

I chose the DDH stamp Quilt for my project.  It had so many different colored pieces that I ended up printing several times to get all the pieces covered.  But I am pleased with the outcome

I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder to make the background piece and then found a ribbon that had a similar swirl in it to tie around the cardstock piece.  The cardstock is Bazzill.  There was no coloring on this card since it is all  paper-pieced.

Be sure to check out all the DDH Dream Team Designer's blogs and see their creations.
You can find them all listed at the DDH blog, so be sure to go there and you can also link your
paper piecing card to the blog for a chance to win a free DDH stamp set of
your choice.  And if you use a DDH image on your card, your name will
be entered twice in the drawing for a free stamp set.

All the submissions would love to have you visit their blogs and leave
some love and comments for them there.  We do hope you will
play along and join the fun.

Finally Friday (Easter Favors and/or Treat Holders) with Michelle McDaniel

What fun to make special treat favors for Easter! Today we are showcasing our stamp creations designed to hold those sweet Easter goodies.  Michelle McDaniel is leading this challenge on the Savvy Projects blog, so be sure to see what she has shown us.

I created an Easter basket from a 6"x6" square of Emma SWIC printed paper.

Here is a tutorial for construction this little basket.  (This same pattern works for the Easter Basket Bonanza basket I did last Friday on the blog hop, except in that one I used a 12x12 piece of cardstock, and therefore the basket was larger).

Score a 6x6" piece of double-sided cardstock (I used Emma) every 2" in both directions.

Cut into the center on two sides of the middle panel on each side, as pictured.

Make a pointed tip of the middle section that was cut.

Then cut the side panels into three strips each, stopping at the center.  I did not measure but just estimated a third of the section when I cut.

Now you are ready to fold the strips to meet in the center, using Scor-tape or a strong adhesive.  Leave the pointed center on the outside to glue last.

Add a 1/2 or 3/4" by 7" handle to each side of the basket with brads, and fill it with grass and candy.  I also added a stamped image on the front from T3304 Easter Bunny and a saying from R2041 Hoppity Skippity. I punched them out with an Oval Punch and matted them on a piece of cardstock punch from the Scallopped Oval Circle.

I can't wait to see what treat holder you link to show what you do with Easter favors.

Bunny Hop Blog Hop

Everyone loves bunnies, and ours are hopping today in the Bunny Blog Hop!  My card is a pop-up card using the bunny from Digi Design House's S.W.A.K stamp set

My paper choice is More Mimi Soar With it Collection from The Angel Company.  It is so springy and fresh.  The tag on the front of the card is also from the More Mimi collection.  I added Bitty Blossoms and ribbon and gemstone for accessories. Decorative scissors were used for the wavy edge.  The saying on the tag and also inside the card are from TAC's Hoppity Skippity stamp set.  The ink color is Palette Ink Claret.

Front of card

Inside the card I poped up three bunnies with varying degrees of pop-out and colored them with Copic markers R01, R81, R83, YG11, YG13, YG17. The saying is stamped with
Memento Rich Cocoa.  The sprigs behind the bunnies are from TAC's Sprigs stamp set, and they are stamped in Palette Jardin Moss ink.

Easter Basket Bonanza Blog Hop

Welcome to April's blog hop, Easter Basket Bonanza!

My basket is made from one 12x12 piece of Maggie SWIC cardstock.  The tutorial to make this basket will be seen next Friday with a small favor basket I made from a 6x6 piece of cardstock.  It looks the same but is small enough for candies.  This one is perfect for Easter eggs, and I plan to use it as a table centerpiece.

The bunny is from T2719 I Love Easter, cut from a Spellbinder's Labels Nine Nestabilities.  I colored it with Copic markers and attached the two cardstock handles with brads.  Maggie ribbon is used on the handles and tied into bows on one handle.

Next I created a basket card for the Easter Basket Bonanza Blog Hop.

My basket is drawn free hand on a folded piece of Cha Cha cardstock. I used the Scor-Bug to make basket lines on the cardstock. Then I added eggs and a bunny from T3304 Easter Bunny.

The sayings are from R2041 Hoppity Skippity.

DDH3 Challenge - Stitches

Today DDH is doing a Challenge called Stitches.  Be sure to see the designers' cards using real or mock stitches.  Check back next week to see my stitches card.

Today I am doing something different.  Have you ever seen a sadder face than Cuddle Pug by Digi Design House?  He makes the perfect image to do a get well card or "I'm sorry" card.

Here is what I did with this precious little pup.

The paper and cardstock are from TAC's Amelia Soar With it Collection, as is the ribbon and Antique Copper eyelets.  I used White Caboodle Cardstock and colored with Copic markers, E71, E74, E77, W1, and W3.  The saying is from TAC's Savvy Sayings, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

Finally Friday (The Joy of Easter) with Springtime Garden stamps

Finally it is Friday, and this is Easter month, so our focus is the Joy of Easter today.  Be sure to see Angela Kelley's really cute Easter creations on Savvy Projects blog.

For my card, I close to make an Easter card with the stamp set, T3231 Springtime Garden.  This card design was inspired by one of Heather Scott's swap cards several months ago.  I hope she sees it!

I used Bazzill African Daisy yellow cardstock and a piece of Tutti Frutti Classic SWIC collection cardstock.  The pink cardstock is from the Lilly Anna cardstock.

I colored the image with Copic markers and put a doilie behind the popped-up image, and then added the happy Easter saying from R2041 Hoppity Skippity.  I used the Scor-Bug to make some design lines down the side.
